The draft law on mediation was debated during public consultations on the platform of the Parliamentary Legal Committee for Appointments and Immunities.
According to the author, the purpose of the proposed draft was initiated in response to current problems in the field of mediation, with the main objective of improving the legal framework and streamlining existing mechanisms and reducing the number of cases examined in court.
EBA Moldova, represented by Eugen Cozmulici, Policy Manager, continues to opt for the voluntary nature of mediation for:
• The banking sector
• Bank lending organizations
• The insurance sector
• Suppliers/providers/operators of municipal services
• Suppliers/providers/operators of non-municipal services related to the supply of electricity, natural gas, and electronic communications products and services.
