On April 19, EBA organized a Technical Meeting with the Minister of Economy, Mr. Sergiu Gaibu, Secretary of State, Ministry of Economy, Mr. Vadim Gumene and members of EBA Moldova.
The meeting was held in the context of the repeated endorsement of the final draft of the Government's decision on the approval of the draft law on unfair commercial practices.
During the meeting, I expressed some concerns related to:
- applicability in the context of the objective pursued by Directive (EU) 2019/633
- analytical accounting
- ensuring the producer-seller balance
- supplier-seller relations
- unfair competitive practices
We rely on the constructive approach at the end of the project, EBA reiterating the cooperation and support of the business environment in clarifying the practical aspects of the proposals submitted.
