During the meeting from 07.02.2023 of the Working Group of the State Commission for the regulation of entrepreneurial activity, EBA, represented by Mr. Eugen Cozmulici, Policy and Advocacy Manager, as a member of the Working Group, spoke on the analysis of the impact of the regulation of the draft law for the amendment of Law no. 10/2016 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources:
• the modification of the net metering mechanism and the regulation of the notion of "self-consumer" do not clarify how it will impact the situation of existing consumers, who already benefit from this mechanism, or whether the new changes are likely to stimulate or discourage consumers to produce their own renewable energy.
• When quantifying the objectives, it is not clear for which time horizon the organization of tenders is planned.
Being a priority subject and commitment on the country's agenda, we remain open in offering optimal solutions for the priority promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.
