EBA organized an online technical meeting dedicated to the draft law amending the Customs Code No. 95/2021, bringing together members of the EBA community interested in the impact of the new provisions on economic activity.
During the session, the main proposed amendments were analyzed, including issues related to harmonization with European Union legislation, the digitization of customs procedures, the status of Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs), customs guarantees, the protection of intellectual property rights, and other provisions relevant to the business environment.
The discussions highlighted both the business community’s strong interest in the new provisions and the existence of certain issues that require further clarification to ensure predictable and effective implementation.
The EBA will continue to monitor the progress of the draft legislation and promote constructive dialogue between the authorities and the business community, contributing to the development of a modern legislative framework conducive to economic activity.
