In order to benefit from the opening of the Western market for Moldavian agricultural producers, businessmen must play according to the Western market rules. And because the Russian embargo closed the marketplace for approximately 40% of the Moldavian export, the necessity of reorienting to new markets became even more imperative.
In this context, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the European Business Association invite the economic operators from the agri-food sector to learn how to export on the EU markets from international experts from Belgium, Netherlands, Romania, Germany, representatives of big networks like Metro Cash&Carry and others.
Within 6 training sessions, each of them having 6 seminars in different regions of the country, there will be a practical approach which will be aimed to train the economic agents for the second phase of the project – economic missions to Romania, Belgium and Netherlands, where the participants will carry negotiations with representatives of supermarket chains.
The training sessions offer concrete information regarding the EU Legislation concerning conditions of production, packaging, labelling of agri-food products that will be exported to the EU market, domestic legislation regarding the customs procedures, fito-sanitary certification, access requirements to the EU market, access requirements to the international networks and engross networks, aspects of sales and creation of networks of distribution, contractual aspects, financial and local instruments that exist for supporting the exporters.
The next training session will take place in the second half of September and during 1-8 October 2014.
During the second phase, the companies that are looking to identify new partnerships in EU will benefit from the opportunity of participating in several commercial missions in Belgium, Netherlands and Romania. The visit in Belgium and Netherlands will take place during 12-17th of October. The companies interested in participating in these missions are invited to contact EBA Moldova and CCI in order to register.
The goal of these missions will consist of identification of concrete partnerships for producers and processors from RM of agri-food products. Also during these mission the companies will visit international certification institutes as well as market networks of international level, aiming for a potential collaboration.
The economic agents that wish to register to the practical training seminars or to participate in the study visits are kindly asked to contact the following phone numbers:
