A productive and effective dialogue between the EBA Community, the European Union Ambassador to Chisinau, and the ambassadors of EU member states and like-minded countries.
The EBA Community organized the second edition of the Roundtable Event titled "Fostering Sustainable Growth in Moldova: the role of the Growth Plan" with the aim of presenting the "Competitiveness Briefing" document developed by the EBA and the priorities of the business community in the context of implementing the Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova and the Moldova–EU Integration Agenda.
The event was opened by Ms. Carolina Bugaian, President of EBA and CEO of Moldcell, who reiterated the Association’s active involvement through local and international expertise in the legislative harmonization process, as well as in the implementation of the regulatory framework, thereby contributing to the preparation of the business environment and supporting public authorities on the path to European integration.
Ms. Iwona Piórko, the European Union Ambassador to Chișinău, commended the association’s efforts in the policy-making process stemming from the Integration Agenda, as well as its substantial contribution to preparing the business community for this journey.
She also reiterated the imperative of implementing the reforms that are a prerequisite for the application of the Growth Plan, as well as the efficient use of the financial support allocated for this purpose. Her Excellency emphasized the importance of dialogue as well as the quality of the reforms implemented, which will form the basis for sustainable economic development—one of the most significant benefits of the European integration process.
In turn, Ms. Mariana Rufa, CEO of EBA, highlighted and commended the active involvement of the entire diplomatic community in supporting the Republic of Moldova’s European path and presented the priorities regarding the development of the business environment, as reflected in the “Competitiveness Briefing” a document prepared by EBA in the fall of 2025.
