The EBA community organized the second edition of the Roundtable Event entitled "Stimulating Sustainable Growth in Moldova: the Role of the Growth Plan", with the objective of presenting the Competitiveness Briefing document developed by the EBA and the priorities of the business environment in the context of the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova and the RM-EU Integration Agenda.
The event was opened by Ms. Carolina Bugaian, President of the EBA and General Director of Moldcell, who reiterated the active involvement of the Association through local and international expertise in the process of legislative harmonization, as well as in the implementation of the regulatory framework, thus contributing to the preparation of the business environment and supporting public authorities in the European path.
H.E. Ms. Iwona Piórko, Ambassador of the European Union in Chisinau, appreciated the efforts of the association in the process of developing policies deriving from the Integration Agenda, as well as the substantial contribution to preparing the business environment for this path.
Also, H.E. Ms. Iwona Piórko reiterated the imperative of implementing the reforms that condition the application of the Growth Plan, as well as the efficient use of the financial support allocated in this regard. Her Excellency reiterated how important is the dialogue but also the quality of the implemented reforms that will form the basis of sustainable economic development, one of the most important advantages of the European integration process.
In turn, Ms. Mariana Rufa, CEO of EBA, highlighted and appreciated the active involvement of the entire diplomatic community in supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova and presented the priorities regarding the development of the business environment, reflected in the Competitiveness Briefing, a document prepared by EBA in the fall of 2025.
