EBA continues its series of field visits to Association members, and during the visit to SEBN MD (Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze Moldova)—the EBA team, alongside Vasile Plamadeala, Trade Officer at the Delegation of the European Union to Moldova (European Union in the Republic of Moldova), had the opportunity to discuss the company’s evolution, its contribution to the Moldovan economy, and the development prospects of the automotive sector.
As part of the Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze Group, SEBN operates globally as a supplier of electrical wiring systems and components, with an international development and production network spanning 41 locations across 14 countries, employing over 39,000 people and boasting more than 35 years of expertise in the field. The group’s customers include, in particular, the brands of the Volkswagen Group.
In the Republic of Moldova, SEBN MD, founded in 2015, has become a major investor over the past decade, with over 3,000 employees, contributing significantly to the development of the automotive industry.
