On May 31, with grant support by USAID and the Swedish Government, the Moldova Competitiveness Project beneficiaries participated in a practical workshop on developing a position paper in an association. The workshop was delivered by EBA for the biggest sectorial business support organisations (BSOs) in Moldova.
The purpose of this workshop was to share the practical knowledge and experience of EBA, through a practical exercise on how position papers are developed in BSOs. EBA shared some case studies which reflected how public-private dialogue is taking place, and explained what the steps in developing a position paper are and also what it should include. Some tips on strategizing and the approach to the communication with public authorities were also provided. Other topics included the Moldovan legislative process, involvement of local stakeholders, cooperation with international associations, budgeting, and others.
