On May 3, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, together with the National Agency for Food Safety, organised the round table: “Sanitary-Veterinary Requirements applied for Imported Products of Animal Origin in Republic of Moldova”.
During this round table, the subject of the transposition and implementation of the RM-EU Association
Agreement directives, as well as the issues of importing products of animal origin in Republic of Moldova were discussed. The problems that economic agents face when importing and exporting these products have been analysed. Mariana Rufa, EBA Executive Director, underlined the positive development of ANSA, but mentioned some obstacles for importers registered in the EU TRACES system, and also the capacity of Moldovan labs to ensure a similar quality to EU labs.
