Within a working meeting on the 5th of May, representatives of Ministry of Economy, Customs Service, ANSA, ANTA and members of the National Committee for Trade Facilitation, the function of which is performed by the Economic Council to the Prime Minister, continued the discussions on the Trade Facilitation Agreement.
Members of the working group on Cross-border Trade Facilitation within the Economic Council will develop by the end of May the Action Plan on implementing the Trade Facilitation Agreement. The Action Plan on implementing the Trade Facilitation Agreement within WTO will help the Republic of Moldova apply all the provisions of the Agreement.
Ecaterina Chirilenco, EBA Lobby & Policy Manager, reiterated the importance of the Action plan. The document refers to important instruments related to trade facilitation, transparency of import-export procedures, standardization, implementation of the one-stop shop – things of which the business environment should be constantly informed about, added Ecaterina Chirilenco.
