On June 28th, a technical meeting within the Parliamentary Committee for economy, budget and finance took place at the request of EBA, to ensure consultations with the business community on the new Draft Law on Electronic Communications. EBA efforts were aimed at promoting necessary and business-friendly environment amendments to the new Draft Law. The main concerns related to supplementary licensing conditions upon operators, including the rights of the regulatory Agency in the area of electronic communications to suspend and/or cancel the license, the obligations of the operators at the performance of security audits/controls and issues touching upon competition legislation matters.
