On 19th of September 2017, EBA participated at the meeting in the Economic Council to the Prime Minister focused on the presentation and discussion with the private sector of the reform concept regulating the area of control functions of the business activity performed by the law enforcement bodies and align it to the provisions of the Law 131/2012 on state controls of the business activity, as amended recently.
The main purpose of the meeting consisted in the coordination of the IFC and Ministry of Justice efforts and measures undertaken to develop the concept of the new reform. EBA highlighted the main constraints and abuses faced by companies during the control operations of specific law enforcement bodies, such as National Anticorruption Centre and Prosecutor’s Office.
