On 19th of February, at the National Art Museum of Moldova, The European Business Association celebrated 2 years of activity. The event hosted more than 120 participants. Among the special invitees to the event were the Honorary President of EBA, the Head of the EU Delegation in Chișinău, HE Mr. Pirkka Tapiola, President of European Social and Economic Committee of the European Commission, Mr. Henri Malosse, Chief negotiator on DCFTA Luc Devigne, Ambassadors, representatives of Chambers of Commerce of Romania, founders and members of the association, businesses from Transnistria.
The goal of the event was to present the activities accomplished during 2013 as well as to organize a B2B Networking for over 120 participants at the event.
"Together with EBA, we are working hard to improve the business climate, though regular policy dialogue, through supporting structural reforms, and of course, through the DCFTA, changing the rules of the game. Bringing in more business will bring in more jobs.
"We have interesting plans for the future, which regards, of course, strengthening of business climate and application of norms and principles of DCFTA, with Republic of Moldova, we will help producers of goods and services of Republic of Moldova to expand their presence on international markets, and of course we will continue to support the young entrepreneurs to successfully develop their activities in Republic of Moldova" underlined the President of EBA Moldova, President of ICS RED Union Fenosa, Mrs. Silvia Radu.
Mr. Luc Devigne reiterated the importance of EBA Moldova in the context of its implementation and raising awareness and increasing the trade flows between Moldova and EU. Taking these into consideration the companies from Moldova should improve their production standards in order to become competitive on the biggest global market.
Stelian Andronache, representative of BIS reiterated the fruitful collaboration with EBA Moldova. He referred to the study developed jointly with the EBA which facilitated the exports of nuts from RM.
"There were barriers in the export of walnut products in EU. Along with the European Business Association we came to a final set of proposals, recommendations regarding the strengthening of legal framework."
"It is important that being a member of EBA we can promote our services, we can find new clients, we can establish new solutions for issues that are present when developing the businesses in Republic of Moldova."
During the event several national wine producing companies, like Salcuţa, Etc, Gittana and Căinari Vin have exhibited their wines having a remarkable opportunity to identify new contacts.
