Trade Facilitation Regional Maturity and Capacity Building Conference taking place in Belgrade Serbia, May 16 - 17.
 
Republic of Moldova is represented by the representatives of the Prime Minister Economic Council - Diana Levcenco, Business Regulation, Green Transition Consultant and Mariana Rufa, EBA CEO and Chair of the Green Transition and Trade Facilitation Working Group in the PM Economic Council. (Consiliul Economic pe lângă Prim-ministrul RM).
 
The key objective of the event is to identify models and solutions as well as to share best regional practices related to trade reconfiguration, best regional trade integration models, e-commerce development, increase of digitalized trade related services provided by Government institutions, ways to better ensure market access and market diversification for candidate countries and how to better focus trade negotiations. It is crucial for this purpose to consolidate the public private dialogue platforms on ensuring convergence between the public and private sector, thus ensuring that the business needs are well heard and considered in public policy design.
 
Republic of Moldova is one of the first countries which in 2017 created the Trade Facilitation Council which is operating based on a working plan and a well defined Agenda. The PM Economic Council is entrusted with the function of National Trade Facilitation Committee.
