On March 23 EBA Moldova signed a Cooperation Agreement with Agency for Attracting Investments and Trade Promotion of Tiraspol. More than 40 companies participated in the event.
Silvia Radu, The EBA President said that the agreement can serve as a platform for bolstering business development and economic growth.
Viaceslav Driglov, President of Investment attraction and trade promotion Agency of Tiraspol reiterated the interest of business community to expand in Transdnestrian region.
Under the preparation work for signing the DCFTA between the RM and EU, a message was given to the companies from Transdnestrian region on the need to align and harmonize the legal framework and standards to EU Norms without which the export to EU is not be possible. The companies have been encouraged to actively participate in the DCFTA working group meetings.
Companies participating in the event expressed the interest of expanding trade in both ways "Both businesses and customers will have to win after signing this cooperation agreement, as better prices will be set based on competition», said, General Director of Moldcell, one of EBA Founder. Artur Virtosu, CFO, Efes Vitanta, EBA member reiterated the interest and perspectives of developing business in this region. Valeriu Cojocaru, General Director of VS Export, EBA Member spoke about the need for new opportunities and business promotion in both ways as there is a great potential and opportunities that should not be missed.
There is a need to urge legal amendments for enabling economic integration. Therefore a message from Mr. Sevciuc was presented to the audience pointing out the readiness and openness of the region for a mutually beneficial cooperation leading to economic growth.
The event was attended by representatives of State Chancellery of Moldova (PM Office for attracting investments), Ministry of Economy of RM, Ministry of Finance of RM, Customs Service of RM that have responded to questions and challenges addressed by businesses and gave explanation on the existing legal framework and proposed amendments.
The Event was organized by EBA Moldova and Agency for attracting investments and trade promotion of Tiraspol.
