Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, a strategic partner of the EBA Moldova community!
EBA Represented by Mariana Rufa, EBA CEO participates in the meeting of the Advisory Council of the Customs Service.
The meeting was chaired by the new Director of the Customs Service, Mr. Alexandru Iacub, who launched the meeting by reiterating the importance of partnership and collaboration between the Customs Service and the business environment, especially in the light of the process of integration of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, in the context of a broad process of digitalization, as well as the implementation of the new National Transit System.
Mariana Rufa reiterated the importance of continuing the management of truck traffic flow at the Borders: Ukraine- Moldova- Romania, taking into account the agricultural season but also the unstable situation and the war in Ukraine.
She also mentioned the need to allocate the necessary resources on the Romanian side in terms of the presence and operation of weighing devices and increase their number, as well as to strengthen the infrastructure at the Rădăuți-Lipcani and Giurgiulesti crossing points.
Mrs. Rufa expressed, on behalf of EBA Moldova, all openness for a continuous cooperation in order to implement the new Customs Code in a business-friendly manner.
