In June 2012 EBA Moldova became a member of the European Business Organizations Worldwide Network.
In the period of June 25-28 EBA Moldova participated in the EBO Worldwide Network in Brussels organized under the auspices of DG Enterprise and Industry. The Network unites more than 20 Business Organizations ranging from Central Asia, South Eastern Europe to Latin America and emerged in early 1990s.
A tremendous support is being provided by the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry to strengthen the network itself with a primary goal to streamline development and internationalization of SMEs worldwide, expand trade and feedback the European Commission in preparation of its international activities and visits, focusing on the priority areas for the interest of European industries worldwide.
A special attention in the June reunion was given to sector issues such as Public Procurement, Intellectual Property Rights and Energy Efficiency. Accordingly, working groups were set up to devise and disseminate the key messages and issues in these areas.
The EBOs had the opportunity to meet with the representatives from DG Enterprise and Industry, DG Trade, DEVCO, European Parliament and point out the priority areas for consideration and improvement.
The next reunion of EBO Worldwide Network is planned for November in Malaysia.
