In period of November 23-26 EBA Moldova, represented by Mariana Rufa participated at Eurasia OECD week. This year the topic of the event was: Better Institutions, Interconnectedness and Inclusiveness for Competitiveness in Eurasia". The event was structured around:
- the annual meeting of the Steering Committees of the OECD Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Initiative and the OECD Central Asia Initiative;
- the annual meeting of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Roundtable;
- the 2nd edition of the high-level Business Forum;
- the launch of the 2016 edition of the SME Policy Index – Eastern Partner Countries;
- a Policy Dialogue session on SMEs in Central Asia;
- and thematic conferences on topics of relevance to the Eurasia region
In the context of the SMEs panel EBA Moldova has shared its experience on the support provided to the private sector under the DCFTA implementation. EBA has mentioned about the practical coaching delivered to the business community, exporters mainly, matchmaking events, the lobby and advocacy initiatives that have been designed and achieved a resolution under the DCFTA application. As a part of the SMEs policy index developed for 2015, EBA was one of the Business Support Organizations that has inputted the data collection process.
The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. We work with governments to understand what drives economic, social and environmental change.
