The third worldwide reunion of the EBA Worldwide Network.

Between June 24th-26th 2013, EBA Moldova participated at the third worldwide reunion of the EBA Worldwide Network.

During the visit, EBA had the opportunity to discuss with officials of the European Commission, General Directorate for Enterprise and Industry, General Directorate for Trade, European Parliament, Chambers of Commerce accredited in Brussels, NGO's Business Europe, etc.

„Europe is extremely competitive", reiterated in his speech Didier Herbert, Chief Department for Enterprise and Industry, „in this context the role of EBA worldwide and of the business support services provided for SMEs internationalization become crucial. Currently, the European Commission is focused on addressing the challenges connected with the bank crisis, macro and micro economical conditions generated by the recession, as well as on insisting on new patterns of entrepreneurship development, by simplifying the access to funding, bureaucratic procedures, thus, stimulating a much more friendly business environment", stated the official.

In order to encourage the European business get onto the emerging markets of the third countries, in 2011 the European Commission launched a new initiative „ Mission for Growth". The initiative consists in organizing missions of the European Commission in the third countries  led by Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission, incorporating a large participation of the EU officials and of the private sector. The main goal of these missions is to demonstrate the openness of the European business towards other markets, including the application of the existing tool kit of good practices provided by the Commission, aimed at the creation of a friendly and attractive business environment in those countries.

In terms of the SMEs trade and development policies, the Commission channels its efforts towards an „Industrial Renaissance", in order to increase the investment potential via some innovative and sustainable initiatives. These efforts, however, may have a positive result when the emerging economies develop solid research and analysis systems, invest in their educational system to develop skills and abilities that correspond to market requirements and are open to ensure a coherent legislative framework with the EU.
