On 24 June this year, EBA Moldova had an official meeting with the Prime Minister of Moldova, Mr Pavel Filip. During the meeting EBA presented its general overview concerning the current status of the business environment in Moldova, including in terms of DCFTA implementation. Equally, the EBA Executive Director, Mariana Rufa made a brief review of the Economic Council of the Prime Minister’s activities to the date, focusing in particular on the developments of the Working Group „Cross-border Trade Facilitation” where EBA holds the presidency. At the same time, EBA shared its position on concrete pro-business measure that shall ensure openness towards reform implementation and their imminent progress:
- Due promotion and implementation of the reform on state inspections
- To ensure transparency and a systemic approach in dealing with export/import transactions and procedures
- To continue reducing the number of permissive acts inflicting on business activity
- Stability of the banking sector in order to restore the trust of investors, including from this sector
- Transparency and predictability in regulation of the ITC industry
- Enhance the regional competitiveness of Moldova through incentives granted to investors
