On May 8th the EBA Moldova has organized a business networking event with its members dedicated to the Europe Days.
The event took place in Rodrigo Restaurant and was attended by more then 60 local and international companies operating in Moldova.
A delegation led By HE Mr Gunnar Wiegand, European External Action Service (EEAS) Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia Regional Cooperation and OSCE countries, including mr Luc Devigne, Chief negotiator for DCFTA being in an official visit in Moldova have also attended the event.
Mr Pirkka Tapiola, Head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau, Honorary President of the EBA Moldova has officially launched the event. He reiterated the importance of the Event itself, the principle of integrity and unity that the EU shares with all its member countries. EU is happy to support the RM in its endeavors to enter the EU family, nevertheless a considerable effort and political will is needed for the implementation of reforms. All of these efforts, all that we strive for lead to a better life and higher living standards". said Pirkka Tapiola, adding that Moldova has successfully concluded the undertaken reforms.
In his speech Mr Gunnar Wiegand mentioned that concluding the Association Agreement the part of which is the DCFTA has primarily to contribute to overcome the division of the country and become a key tool to promote modernization of economy and society in the RM.
The event gave the opportunity to the participating companies to interact with the EU Officials and share the concerns related to foreign trade and implementation of the Agreement as a whole
