The key issues approached over the discussion were related to the positive trend of the Republic of Moldova under the European Agenda.
Mr Meyer has reiterated the importance of signing the Association agreement and the DCFTA as a component part of it, in this regard Moldova becoming more reliable in form of the EU Partners. “Nevertheless to enable a more conducive business environment bolstering foreign investments it is imperative to encounter concrete results in the implementation of justice reform and reducing corruption”.
Another very important issue to be considered on the EU Integration path is unified and inclusive approach to integration. “People need to feel a part of the same society, whereas Europe does not exclude parts of society, it integrates them. Therefore the Moldovan state has to consider involving more the Southern part, Gagauzia, and Transnistria more actively into the process of EU Integration”.
Another very important point was the involvements of the civil society into the Integration agenda. The simple citizens need to understand the benefits of integration versus other alternatives. Therefore more focus and effort should be give to communication on EU Integration benefits across the country covering all parts of the society.
The EBA was represented by more then 30 companies who had the occasion to ask questions related to business environment, issues related to increasing trade with Germany and attract more investments from Germany, exchange of experience among young entrepreneurs and how the German Government is supporting them etc.
