Mister. Dumitru Alaiba, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, and Mr. Vadim Gumene, State Secretary, presented the opportunities for foreign trade, in the context of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA - Switzerland , Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
The agreement is to be signed next week, and until it enters into force after complying with the ratification procedures, we will together guide the business environment in using this commercial opportunity.
EBA represented by Eugen Cozmulici reiterated the need to ensure traffic at the border crossing points in order to maximize the absorption of this generous opportunity so that the entire logistic chain is ensured for domestic products to reach their destination and the development of a guide for the use of EFTA facilities.
This agreement represents a significant opportunity for Moldovan exports, as it will reduce customs duties on goods imported from EFTA and open the way to the world's most prosperous markets. The removal of trade obstacles will facilitate the access of Moldovan companies to these markets.
