On April 2, 2026, the EBA organized a technical working session during which members of the European Business Association discussed proposed amendments to Government Decision No. 875/2024 regarding the Regional State Aid Scheme for Investments in the Republic of Moldova.
The state aid scheme is an essential tool for supporting the business environment, offering real opportunities for development and modernization so that companies can expand their production capacities and adopt innovative technologies.
In the Republic of Moldova, this mechanism involves providing support in the form of partial income tax exemptions and grants for manufacturing companies making investments.
The discussions were facilitated by Mr. Nicolae Crețu, Tax Partner at Saiph Consulting House, an EBA member.
Following the meeting and the exchange of experiences among member companies—including those that have already applied for this mechanism—the EBA will draft a position paper to be submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, containing proposals aimed at ensuring a predictable and efficient framework for the scheme’s implementation.
The European Business Association supports the coherent and predictable implementation of the Investment Aid Scheme, given its long-term positive impact on the development and sustainability of the business environment.
