Our mission
The EBA is one of the main business impact organisations for Moldovan and foreign entities aimed at supporting EU integration of the RM by means of:
  • Facilitating domestic and foreign trade;
  • Improving business climate through different communication platforms;
  • Bolstering foreign investments;
  • Advance national EU integration by strengthening the professional capacity and competitiveness of the private sector
  • Policy and advocacy in the legal harmonization of Moldovan legislation to the EU Acquis Communautaire

    • Monitors the Tax & HR Policy issues and supports the activities of the EBA Tax & Human Capital Committees.
    • Represents EBA at meetings and working groups in relevant public private platforms and organizations.
    • Builds up and keeps an active network with relevant stakeholders for policy and advocacy work.
    • Drafting position papers and advisory notes.

    • Develops and organizes the advocacy work for EBA, drafting advisory notes, representing EBA at meetings and working groups in relevant public private platforms and organizations.
    • Assists the Executive Director in her efforts towards policy issues, building up and keeping an active network with relevant stakeholders for policy and advocacy work.

    • Coordinates EBA Moldova’s advocacy and policy work in financial services, digitalization, trade, e-commerce, food safety and EU accession.
    • Drafts and promotes position papers, policy notes and legal recommendations supporting business-friendly implementation of EU-aligned legislation.
    • Monitors policy and regulatory developments, consolidates members’ feedback and formulates advocacy positions for public authorities.
    • Represents EBA Moldova in consultations, working groups and public-private dialogue with ministries, regulators and Parliament.
    • Supports member awareness and engagement on EU accession reforms through briefings, consultations and policy discussions.

    • Responsible for the business environment and entrepreneurial activity, also for competition and personal data protection issues.
    • Drafting the position papers and advisory notes in these areas.
    • Representing EBA at working group on regulatory impact assessment as well as in other relevant private or public platforms and organizations.

    • Develops and organizes the advocacy work for EBA in the fields of energy, environment, transport/infrastructure, cyber security and EU accession, by developing and promoting position papers emphasizing on members interests, towards a balanced implementation of EU legislation
    • Ensures continuous monitoring of governmental policy/legal initiatives in his area of expertise and activity. 
    • Member of related governmental working groups in relation to the implementation of the National Program for EU Accession; performs raising awareness sessions to EBA members in coordination with high-level governmental representatives.

EBA social corporate responsibility projects
EBA Moldova – CCF Moldova
charity campaign „Daruiește căldură"

Goal: to support children from 50 families get through the cold season safely by providing them with the warmth they need through the purchase of firewood and other essential goods.

Results: During 2021-2025, within the same Campaign, have been helped 170 children from 53 families.

EBA for EU Integration

In 2025 EBA organized a series of events in Moldova and Brussels for the business community by inviting key EU Officials from the Republic of Moldova, from the EU Parliament and EU Commission to raise awareness on the EU MOLDOVA Integration process, negotiation agenda, impact for business and country economic development overall. Over these events, businesses could share their current concerns, provide concrete proposals and discuss the legal transposition process in more details. 


EBA is supporting the EU Integration process through development of legal packages, providing proposals for amending legislation, offering support in legislation implementation and ensuring technical support in aligning business practices to the EU and International requirements.

An overview and an assessment of implementation of reforms from the prospective of the European business representatives (investors) based on provisions of the EU-Republic of Moldova Association Agreement including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (AA/DCFTA)

“The project ‘Promoting Green Deal Readiness in the Eastern Partnership Countries’ (PROGRESS) is implemented on behalf of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Government of Germany. Within the Federal Government, the IKI is anchored in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN). The project is also the responsibility of the Federal Foreign Office (AA). PROGRESS is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, as the lead agency, in partnership with the European Business Association (EBA) Moldova, the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IEF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC).”

“Impact Space” Project

EBA promoting development of social enterprises in Moldova
Implementation period: 2.01.2025 – 30.11.2028

Goal:

The "Impact Space" project aims to support social enterprises by providing the tools and resources necessary to develop and achieve the expected social impact. The project is inclusive, covering all regions of the country, including the autonomous unit of Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region. 

The project aims to empower entrepreneurs through specific activities such as training, mentoring, scholarships, internships, grants, and networking events.

The summary financial statements which comprise the statement of financial position as at December 31, 2025 and the statement of income and expenses, are derived from the audited financial statements of The European Business Association in Moldova for the year ended December 31, 2025.

In our opinion, the accompanying summary financial statements are consistent, in all material respects, with audited financial statements, in accordance with Note 1 Basis of preparation of the summarized financial statements (hereinafter referred to as "Note 1").

Summary Financial Statements

The summary financial statements do not contain all the disclosures required by the National Accounting Standards of the Republic of Moldova. Reading the summary financial statements and the auditor’s report thereon, therefore, is not a substitute for reading the audited financial statements and the auditor’s report thereon.
The summary financial statements and the audited financial statements do not reflect the effects of events that occurred subsequent to the date of our report on the audited financial statements. 

The Audited Financial Statements and Our Report Thereon

We expressed an unmodified audit opinion on the audited financial statements in our report dated April 30, 2026. 

Management’s Responsibility for the Summary Financial Statements

Management is responsible for the preparation of the summary financial statements in accordance with described criteria in Note 1.

Auditor’s Responsibility

Our responsibility is to express an opinion on whether the summary financial statements are consistent, in all material respects, with the audited financial statements based on our procedures, which were conducted in accordance with International Standard on Auditing (ISA) 810 (Revised), Engagements to Report on Summary Financial Statements.

Note 1 Basis of preparation of the summary financial statements

These summary financial statements, which comprise the statement of financial position as at December 31, 2025 and the statement of income and expenses, have been extracted in full from the relevant information included in the financial statements of The European Business Association in Moldova (hereinafter – the “Association”) for the year then ended, which were prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and authorized for issue on 30 April 2026. Accordingly, these summary financial statements are consistent with those financial statements. Management has prepared these summary financial statements for publication in the press. 

Due to their summarized nature, these summary financial statements cannot provide a complete understanding of the financial performance and financial position of the Association. This understanding can only be obtained from the complete set of financial statements of the Association. The complete set of financial statements of the Association from which these summarized financial statements were extracted are available on request from the Association.
